Former Senior Vice President, Methodist Healthcare System
Geoff Crabtree is the former Senior Vice President of the Methodist Healthcare System, San Antonio. Geoff was employed with Methodist Healthcare for 29 years. As the Senior Vice President, he most recently was responsible for rural outreach strategies, including overseeing the Methodist management agreements of four rural hospitals and Methodist AirCare transport services. He was also responsible for several System-wide operations areas.
His early years at Methodist were spent as Methodist Hospital’s first Director of Marketing, Director of Strategic Planning and Marketing and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Marketing. Other responsibilities included several operations areas, physician outreach and employer relations. Prior to joining Methodist, Geoff served for 12-years as Chairman and CEO of Communications Advertising, Inc. and Chairman of Great American Radio Company.
Geoff’s current community activities include the chairmanship of the American Heart Association, the chairmanship of the YMCA’s Heritage Society, as well as membership on the YMCA’s Executive Committee. He also serves as a Board member on the San Antonio Tourism Council, a member of the marketing committee of Visit San Antonio, vice-chairman of the marketing committee for Los Compadres de San Antonio Missions (now Mission Heritage Partners), and he serves on the University of the Incarnate Word Masters Program for Health Care Administration Executive Advisory Committee.
Past civic responsibilities include Board membership of the San Antonio Food Bank, past Chairman of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Council and Chairman of the Health Care Biosciences Committee. He also served on the Chamber’s Executive Committee. Other activities include serving on the 2014 United Way Annual Giving Campaign as a Division Chairman, a commissioner and Chairman of the Marketing Committee of the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau, and former Chairman of the YMCA of Greater San Antonio.
Geoff has facilitated over a hundred strategic planning retreats employing the principles of Hoshin planning, as well as making national presentations on marking, planning and customer relationship management. He is also the author many articles on the same subjects.
